Reasons for the decline in the efficiency of the double suction pump:

 1. Due to the initialization of the water flow, the inner wall of the pump flow channel and the impeller passing through the water surface become rough and uneven, the friction coefficient of the flow channel in the pump increases, and the flow rate of water in the pump is very large, and the head loss increases. Hydraulic efficiency is reduced.

2. Serious scaling or corrosion in the pump casing due to the addition of drugs or water quality in front of the pump. Serious scaling in the pump casing can increase the wall thickness of the pump casing by about 2ram, and the inner wall of the pump forms a scaling tumor, which reduces the volume of the pump body, reduces the amount of water pumped, and the flow channel is rough, and the head loss increases. Both passenger volume efficiency and hydraulic efficiency are reduced.

3. Holes or cracks occur in the pump flow channel due to casting defects, cavitation, abrasion, corrosion and chemical erosion caused by the pump processing technology, and vortices occur when water flows, resulting in energy loss. Hydraulic efficiency is reduced.

4. Cavitation on the surface of the impeller. Due to the negative pressure generated when the water surface of the blade is running on the back surface, when the pressure Pk < Pva, cavitation and honeycomb surfaces are generated, and the pump blade is cavitated under the action of electrochemical corrosion.
5. Volume loss and mechanical loss. Due to the long use time of the pump, the leakage and resistance caused by mechanical wear increase, which reduces the volume efficiency and mechanical efficiency. The above reasons make the performance of the pump worse. The operating efficiency is reduced by 2 to 5%, and the efficiency of the pump can be reduced by more than 10% in serious cases.
